Proposed City Planning Design: “Slavynaka” Humanity has traveled the surface of the earth for thousands of years in certain inherent ways of linear travel. Learning to execute a path between two points in the most expeditious and natural means possible. This was the focus and idea behind our proposed city planning design in the region of “Slavyanka” in St. Petersburg. Inspired by the failure of Oscar Niemeye’s project in Brasilia, where designed walkways were largely ignored, and citizens created their own paths across the landscape for ease of use and function. Our goal was to account for the way people would move through space, creating a natural and functional grid system for the city, establishing dynamic circulation for its citizens.

CDA is proud to announce the securing of a proposed map change along the Bay Street Corridor in Staten Island. The proposed development will consist of 8 ground-level stores with 81 Class "A" apartments above. There will be an allotment of 24 affordable units in the building. We hope this will be a welcome addition to this historic part of Staten Island!

CDA is proud to announce the completion of a new custom 82,000 sq.ft Commercial and Community Service building. The building has numerous setbacks to reduce its bulk appearance. Situated on a corner lot the building maximizes its facade exposure with vast expanses of glass. Valet parking exists on a integral second floor covered garage within the building complex. Hopefully the building's aesthetics will make it a nice addition to the neighborhood!

We have completed the design development stage and are waiting to move into the contract documents stage. CDA is proud to announce securing a preliminary zoning map change for 3033 Avenue V, which will allow this site to be developed with 88 Class A residential apartments over a first floor retail store development. Affordable residential units will represent 25% of new apartments.

We are the architects for a new mixed-use development at 2510 Coney Island Avenue in Brooklyn, NY. CDA is happy to announce we have cleared stage 1 review and approval by City Planning Commission for re-mapping the subject property. Presently, the site is an owner-occupied used car sales lot with accessory auto service uses. We look forward to breaking ground on the construction of this building in the near future.

CDA is happy to announce the near completion of our project located at 2 Brighton 10th Lane in Brooklyn, NY. This bespoke four-family class "A" residential apartment building exists on a postage-sized lot in the older section of Brighton Beach established at the turn of the 20th century. The architects utilized the existing footprint and some of the old foundations to allow NYC grandfathering provisions in the code to allow conformance with pre-existing conditions as related to zoning.

2799 Coney Island Avenue Brooklyn, NY, designed by CDA, is now completed and has reached full occupancy. The commercial building accommodates medical offices and a daycare center within its four stories. The 16,000 SF new building is located in the FEMA flood zone, which leads to a design incorporating a raised ground level with parking and a dry-floodproofed cellar level. Facing West, the facade design facilitates angled reinforced brick panels to partially block the low-angled sun exposure, while allowing Northern daylight to reflect into the interior spaces.

CDA is pleased to announce the completion of 2784 Coney Island Avenue in Brooklyn, NY. The small 18,000 SF bespoken building includes retail, business offices, medical offices, and a private school.

Corporate Design of America, P.C. is pleased to announce that 1938 Coney Island Avenue has achieved full occupancy. The project was a 7-story retail, commercial offices, and community services blend of approximately 36,000 S.F. An interesting note is the recent inclusion of a small Jewish synagogue in the lower level of the building.
